Ahhchew Cosplay was born and raised in Ohio

Ahhchew’s love for costuming and gaming has been her passion since she was a child. She credits the start of her creative enthusiasm to countless hours playing Legend of Zelda and other Nintendo games with and against her family. She blended that creativity with her love for horses during her childhood 4-H years when she began making her own costumes for her and her horse to wear in the county fair costume class. 

Ahhchew also enjoys drawing, painting, and sewing to relax in her free time. She is self-taught. She learned to sew by taking clothes apart and reverse engineering them into new creations. YouTube videos played a huge part in teaching herself about armor and props. 

Ahhchew started cosplaying in 2014. She is well known for her transformation dresses and has experience with many mediums such as making prosthetics, leatherworking, foam, and sewing. She has come a long way from where she started and hopes to continue to grow and expand her skills.

Although Ahhchew has come far, she knows she is never done learning. She hopes her humble beginning can inspire others to dare to experience the magic of creating or becoming a character you love. Whatever your skill level in cosplay may be, Remember this, You only fail when you stop trying.
