
Ellyn is well known for her voice work in animation, games and films with hundreds of titles including Street Fighter 6, Belle, Lupin the 3rd, Bleach / 100 Year Blood War, Pokemon Generations, Star Ocean 1 & 2, Phantasy Star Online II, True Crimes Hong Kong, Ghost in The Shell: Innocence 2, Noein, Mar, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Robotech, Blue Dragon, Muhya & Roji, Godzilla, and hundreds more.
Also, many Academy Award-winning films including: Widow of St. Pierre, Cinema Paradiso, Belle Epoque, Le Femme Nikita, Tae Gu Ki, Babette’s Feast, Mostly Martha, & Eat Drink, Man, Woman.
On Television she was seen in: Life’s A Bitch (starred in and wrote), Milk and Honey, American Carrott, Charlie’s Angels, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and Santa Barbara.
On films: Both Thumbs, Blood On Canvas, The Other Way, Jessie’s Girls, The Man Who Loved Women, Duchess, and The Dirtwater Fox.
Starting on stage when she was 12 years old, some of her theatre credits are: Les Miserables, Exit the King, Apple, Mrs. Warren’s Profession, Rumors, Blood Wedding, Chinamen, Enchanted April, Killing of Sister George, Day Games, Sister Africa, Daughter Of My People. She starred in Two Noble Kinsmen at the Globe Theatre (Now in the Smithsonian Institute) and We’ll Never Be Young Again (Center Theatre Group).
She has directed VO for many years. Directing credits: Pokémon Generations, Netflix: FORECASTING LOVE AND WEATHER, KITZ, SCHOOL NURSE FILES. Also, included are many of the LUPIN THE 3 RD movies and series currently on Toonami and Adult Swim.
One of Ellyn’s proudest accomplishments was dubbing STAR WARS, A NEW HOPE, EPISODE 4 into the Navajo language. It was the first time an indigenous language was heard on film.
She’s a member of the Classical Theatre Lab and an Executive Member of Women In Film. Her children’s book, It’s Hard To Give A Butterly A Hug will be here at ANIME FESTIVAL ORLANDO. Her sitcom, Life’s A Bitch, which she wrote, stars in, and produced, also includes Richard Epcar and Stephen Tobolowsky. Coming out soon is her book “Grandma’s Vintage Recipes”.
