General Safety Policies
- Be Nice
- Be kind and courteous to your fellow attendees. Respect the guests, dealers, and staff. Just be good to everyone!
- Promote a safe and healthy environment
- Treat the Greater Columbus Convention Center and the Hyatt Hotel facilities with the utmost respect. Anyone who vandalizes/damages these properties will be responsible for repairs and replacements.
- Absolutely no real weapons are permitted in the event space.
- Props are fine, actual things that could hurt people? Not so much.
- Take care of yourself
- Get at least six hours of sleep a day, drink plenty of water, and remember to eat!
- Keep it moving
- When in hallways and walkways stay to the side and keep moving. Do not block exists, staircases, or doorways.
- Respect the law (DUH)
- Don’t do illegal stuff! Smoking and drugs are prohibited in the convention center and hotel. Any behavior that breaks state or federal law will not be tolerated.
- Have your Badge Visible
- Please make sure your badge is easily accessible at all times. Do not share your badge with anyone else.
- Line exemptions
- people/persons with disabilities or special considerations may skip the lines. See Ohayocon Accessibility Services to make this process even easier on yourself.
- No horse play
- Please, no running or roughhousing in the hallways.
- No dragging articles of clothing
- Leashes, trains, long wigs that drag along the floor are all discouraged. It’s easy enough to get hurt in a crowded hallway as it is.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in your removal from the event. We hope you have an amazing and safe Ohayocon!
