You spoke, we listened! You want to see original characters and designs, gijinka, lolitas, and furries, etc. in an official contest. We want to see your creativity and talent in a whole new light, so we are opening submissions for our all-styles fashion show! Create an outfit inspired by anime, manga, video games, movies, pop culture, fan art, or something completely original.

You may compete with an outfit which you made, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s an original character or one already existing in any medium. We want you to be as creative as possible!

Attention Campers! We’ve got some exciting new updates from your favorite camp councilors!

International Guests are coming to Ohayocon and we’re extending a BIG camp Ohayocon welcome to the following international talents:

Oh, and last but definitely not least, Floor Wars applications are open!

“Floor Wars is back for its second year, and bigger than ever! Floor Wars is a 1 on 1 all-styles dance battle, which has been widely popularized in the furry community for years, and even longer before that. We’re continuing to work side by side with these dancers from the community to bring you this outrageously exciting and dynamic competition. Break out your dancing shoes, find some cardboard, and get yourself ready, because you’ll need to bring your a-game for this intense dancing competition.”

Last year was a wonderful success and we hope to keep the music and dance alive with our second annual Floor Wars! See the Application Form and Rules for all the details!

Camp Ohayocon will feature four PC tournaments: League of Legends, Fortnite, Overwatch and Hearthstone. Tournament registration is available at PC Gaming. Some games may occur before Ohayocon if there are enough players. The tournaments are sponsored by ALLMID E-sports Events.

We’re also excited to bring back the escape room! This camp-themed game of puzzles and mysteries will be available to all badge holders at no additional charge. We’re also looking for donations of old camping gear such as flashlights, sleeping bags and other thematic props. We need to be able to plan the game well in advance, so we need these things by Nov. 23, 2018. Please send an email to liveevents@ohayocon.org if you would like to donate, and thank you!

Ohayocon Yuki Matsuri Debuting at Ohayocon 19 is the Yuki Matsuri: a hands-on theme room that is 100% Japan! Winter blues got you down? Get a taste of the Japanese festival spirit with traditional arts and crafts, Japan-style matsuri games, cultural programming, traditional decor, and photo backdrop with a chance to try on traditional clothing provided by Columbus Kimono. Come dressed in your best yukata and step into summer!

We have five ways you can participate in Ohayocon available right now: you can pre-register before Oct. 8, 2018 to get $15 off admission, apply for volunteering (Kohai) or staff positions, enter the Ohayocon 19 Cosplay Expo, and apply to judge the Expo. There are so many ways to enjoy Ohayocon weekend!

Interested applicants can find all the information about it on the Cosplay Expo page. There are two divisions: Craftsmanship and Performance, and the application for judging is also available. My Hero Academia: Two Heroes posterCome join us Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Gateway Film Center for the premiere of My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (Dub)!

We will host a cosplay pre-party at 6 p.m. in the Tornado Room. Come in your best BNHA cosplay and meet fellow fans of the series!

Also, you could win a free badge to Ohayocon 19! We’re holding a raffle at the party, so come on out!

The movie starts at 7. Tickets are only $5, but we expect they’ll sell fast. We look forward to seeing you!
